ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,257, issued on July 15.

"Cone beam breast computed tomography with patient support subsystem" was invented by Shaohua Liu (Atlanta) and Ruola Ning (Atlanta).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cone beam breast computer tomographic scanning system includes a vertical plane gantry and a patient support subsystem, where the patient support subsystem has a patient support saddle for patient positioning during imaging."
