ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,031, issued on July 15.

"Acrylonitrile-based cation exchangers" was invented by Aurelia Reckziegel (Dormagen, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to acrylonitrile-based cation exchangers, to a process for the production thereof and to the use thereof for decationization and/or softening of aqueous or organic solutions."

The patent was filed on Jan. 12, 2022, under Application No. 17/573,682.
