According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A treadmill with a fan that directs an airflow toward a user is provided. A fan controller receives an input signal corresponding to a belt speed of the treadmill belt and converts the input signal into an output signal to the fan to control the speed of the airflow by adjusting the rotational speed of the fan.
