ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,342,876, issued on July 1.

"Polymeric breast support structure" was invented by Kristen Anderson (Cheshire, Conn.), Divya Chaurasia (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Monika Harris (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Bridget Mollner (Minneapolis), Delilah Roberts (Madison, Wis.), Isis Shiffer (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Jasmine Stroud (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Riley Walker (Amelia, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A polymeric breast support structure to be incorporated into a breast support garment such as a bra, bustier, swimsuit, or similar, comprising a soft polymeric material and a wide cross-section that provides support without discomfort."
