ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,538, issued on July 1.
"High salinity water purification processes and systems utilizing pervaporization" was invented by Ravindra Revanur (Fremont, Calif.) and Stephen M. Mosher (Chandler, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A high salinity water purification system and process, including a forward osmosis system and a reverse osmosis or nanofiltration system. A solids membrane separation system removes solids from the influent water being processed. A pervaporation (PV) system eliminates liquid impurities from the influent water being processed."
The patent was filed on Feb. 27, 2023, under Application No. 18/114,927.
