According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bio-composite construction material for use as a substrate for a tile, a shingle, or a building panel. The bio-composite construction material may be formed into a rigid or semi-flexible member. A hemp fiber component is mixed with a binding agent to create the bio-composite construction material.
