According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are devices, systems, and methods for use during smoking. The systems may include a plurality of pipes or chambers for holding fluid and smoke and a plurality of smoke conduits connecting the chambers to form a continuous flow path for smoke. These techniques may be particularly useful, for example, for cooling and cleaning smoke prior to a user inhaling the smoke and may make a smoking safer and a more pleasurable experience for the user."
