"Simulated basketball game system" was invented by Richard A. Schmider (Pittsburgh).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A simulated basketball game system for playing a game simulating a basketball game includes a plurality of closed loops each having a vertically oriented channel extending therethrough. The plurality of closed loops are radially arranged around a vertically oriented rod and positioned adjacent to a top end of the vertically oriented rod."
The patent was filed on Dec. 29, 2022, under Application No. 18/091,068.
