According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for creating an elevator shaft for an elevator system, wherein the elevator shaft is oriented mainly vertically, uses a plurality of base modules placed on one another. The shaft is upwardly closed off by a top module and forms a travelway for a car of the elevator system.
