According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a grain cart having an inverted V-shaped ridge on top of the cover of the flow gate system to reduce the grain load on the blades and the force required to move them. The ridge includes supports for a walkway that provides safety to cleaning, inspection and maintenance personnel for mechanisms at the bottom of the hopper, in particular the sweep auger and the flow gate system, without affecting the unloading rate.
