"Expandable bed" was invented by Nathalie Vachon (Sunrise, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bed assembly includes a frame and a mattress receivable on the frame, the mattress including a plurality of longitudinally-extending sections and at least one bladder. The at least one bladder is inflatable to increase a width of the mattress."
The patent was filed on Oct. 17, 2023, under Application No. 18/380,766.
