ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,215,950, issued on Feb. 4.

"Firearm and a method of manufacturing it" was invented by Paul T. Noonan (Boise, Idaho) and Aaron Neal Trout (Boise, Idaho).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A receiver and a method for manufacturing it are disclosed. The receiver contains an assembly pivotally coupled with the lower receiver, a buttstock coupled with the assembly, wherein the assembly is configured to move from a locked position to a folded position and back to the locked position."

The patent was filed on May 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/200,032.
