".45-70 shotshell and method for making" was invented by Robert A. Janeski (Wellsboro, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A.45-70 shotshell is made using a.45-70 shotshell base and a.410 shotshell hull. The hull is received and retained in the shotshell base. The shotshell base may be formed from a.45-70 rifle cartridge."

The patent was filed on Oct. 30, 2023, under Application No. 18/385,164.
