ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. PP36,497, issued on Feb. 25.

"Sanguisorba plant named 'Plum Drops'" was invented by Brent Arpad Horvath (Hebron, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new, distinct Sanguisorba plant named 'Plum Drops' as illustrated and described, characterized by the combination of dark green pinnate foliage and intermediate size, growing 110 cm in height and large dark red flowers."

The patent was filed on Jan. 10, 2024, under Application No. 18/445,738.
