"Packing additional information in each message element in 5G/6G" was invented by David E. Newman (Poway, Calif.) and R. Kemp Massengill (Palos Verdes, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Additional information can be packed into each message element of a 5G/6G message by varying the amplitude of the signal within the symbol-time of the message element. For example, the difference between the amplitude at the beginning and ending of the symbol-time may encode additional bits, thereby providing higher information density in each transmission.
