According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fire escape parachute device designed for safe and effective evacuation from high-rise buildings (i.e., fixed bases) during emergencies, such as fires, is disclosed. The device comprises a canopy made from lightweight, durable, and tear-resistant fabric, reinforced with multi-strand Kevlar threads.
