ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,546,563, issued on Feb. 10.
"Sensor mount holster" was invented by Thomas Magrath (Dalton Gardens, Idaho), Randy Watts (Spokane, Wash.) and Jacob Shearer (Moses Lake, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A holster for an implement, such as a handgun, includes a holster body and a sensor mount integral to the holster body. The sensor mount has a mounting surface for mounting a sensor, an opening through the mounting surface to an interior of the holster body, and a sensor mount guide comprising a raised portion extending at least partially around a periphery of the mounting surface."
