ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,490,824, issued on Dec. 9.
"Salon cape with magnetic closures and method" was invented by Shayna Lloyd (Frisco, Texas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A protective magnetized cape for secure placement on a wearer having a left shoulder flap and an elongated right shoulder flap and a plurality of magnet pairs for securing the left shoulder flap to the right shoulder flap at the back of the wearer and the right shoulder tlap to the chest area of the wearer."
The patent was filed on April 21, 2025, under Application No. 19/184,711.
