ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,492,064, issued on Dec. 9.

"Insulated packaging for use with dry ice" was invented by Gary W. Lantz (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A shipping container with an enclosure of insulating panels. The insulating panels include multiple layers of single faced cardboard within a compostable casing. The container includes and outer container, inner container, and the insulating panels."

The patent was filed on Nov. 16, 2023, under Application No. 18/511,898.
