ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,490,851, issued on Dec. 9.

"Device for reinforcing a hanger and method for hanging a garment using a hanger reinforced with the device" was invented by Darren Mazyck (Pembroke Pines, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Device for reinforcing a hanger. The device reinforces and/or strengthens a conventional hanger such that the conventional hanger can more readily support heavy and/or bulky garments such as suits and winter clothing. Also included is a method for hanging a garment using a hanger reinforced with the device."

The patent was filed on Dec. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/537,919.
