"DripLip" was invented by Harold Swaringim (O'Fallon, Mo.) and Michael Swaringim (O'Fallon, Mo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The DripLip has a round shape that fits upon a paint can and retains drips and dribbles. The invention has an upper flange upon a main wall that descends to a lower flange perpendicular to the main wall. Upon a part of the lower flange, the invention has a receptacle with a lower portion and an upper portion upon it. The lower portion has a rectangular cross section. Then the upper portion of the receptacle has an inclined forward wall extending Outward from the receptacle and the rest...
