"Equipotential safety device" was invented by Paul Sheldon (Niagara, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An equipotential safety device comprises a metallic grate sized and configured to be set upon the floor of a bucket of a bucket truck. The grate is in electrical communication with an electrical grounding source."
The patent was filed on Oct. 6, 2021, under Application No. 17/495,023.
