ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,487,056, issued on Dec. 2.

"Sensor farm" was invented by Ryan T. Bosley (Mechanicsville, Va.), Logan M. Compton (Fredericksburg, Va.), Marc W. Bassett (King George, Va.) and John W. Fraysse Jr. (Mechanicsville, Va.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus that includes at least two types of sensors arranged on a projectile, each type of sensor including a plurality of sensors with overlapping ranges."

The patent was filed on Jan. 22, 2024, under Application No. 18/418,440.
