ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,186, issued on Dec. 16.
"Secondary haptic loops for fixation of intraocular device" was invented by Eli Aharoni (Tel Aviv, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An intraocular assembly includes an intraocular device that includes at least one haptic, and a secondary haptic loop including two ends that are coupled to the at least one haptic, the secondary haptic loop being made of a material which can be tied."
The patent was filed on Jan. 1, 2025, under Application No. 19/007,500.
