According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A convertible lid for pool decks to cover access to the skimmer and any other plumbing and/or mechanics related to the pool. One side of the convertible lid is made of a plastic or other material that is easily liftable and recognizable as a lid cover.
