ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,148, issued on Aug. 5.

"Composition for administering and releasing oligonucleotides" was invented by Georg Alois Sczakiel (GroB-Gronau, Germany), Thomas Manfred Rupp (Berlin) and Wolfgang Nedbal (Aglasterhausen-Breitenbronn, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a composition comprising an oligonucleotide, at least two copolymers with at least two of the copolymers being Poloxamer 188 and Poloxamer 407, and a medium. The present invention further relates to a method for preparing said composition."
