ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,308, issued on Aug. 5.

"Calf exercise device" was invented by Owen Douglas Solecki (Calgary, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The device as disclosed herein is simple and easy to use, and inexpensive to produce. It provides a good calf workout from home for the calf and lower leg. It includes a foot baseplate having a lower curved surface or frame, a series of straps to attach the users foot to the baseplate and an attachment point for a resistance band."

The patent was filed on Aug. 31, 2021, under Application No. 17/462,056.
