According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A self-defense glove providing discreet, yet effective personal protection is disclosed. The glove integrates a concealed, rapidly deployable spike mechanism within its structure. A metal grommet positioned between the thumb and index finger leads to an internal cylindrical chamber housing a retractable metal spike. The spike features a pointed end for defense and a flat metal head for deployment. A magnetic system embedded in the glove's palm enables quick activation.
