"Neck support" was invented by Rico Sabulao (Bedford Corners, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A neck support includes a frame enclosing an opening. The frame has an outer perimeter, a front side, an upper portion and a lower portion. The opening is configured to receive a user's head. The neck support further includes a notch in a lower portion of the frame, a strap connected to the frame and extending across the opening and a first support material on a part of the strap and frame covering the opening. The first support material, the notch and strap are for supporting a user's vertebrae and head."
