According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An aftermarket trailer wireless reverse light kit is disclosed that provides trailers with a backup light that is activated when the tow vehicle is put in reverse. Also, the reverse light bar can be removed and manually switched on/off for use as auxiliary lighting separate from the trailer.
