"Systems/methods of 5G optimization" was invented by Peter D. Karabinis (Cary, N.C.) and Dimitrios P. Karabinis (Edmonds, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A plurality of transmit/receive modes is established and is used selectively to communicate responsive to a parameter that is associated with data to be transmitted/received; and wirelessly communicating by using a 5G air interface and by using at least one transmit/receive mode of the plurality of transmit/receive modes.
