ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,395,665, issued on Aug. 19.
"Encoder and bitstream for efficient coding of global motion vectors" was invented by Borivoje Furht (Boca Raton, Fla.), Hari Kalva (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Velibor Adzic (Canton, Ga.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A video encoder is configured to generate a bitstream for decoding by a compatible decoder which includes circuitry configured to receive a bitstream, extract a residual of a control point motion vector for a current frame and from the bitstream, and combine the residual of the control point motion vector with a prediction of the control point motion vector for the current frame."
