ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,472, issued on Aug. 12.

"Programmable pill dispensing device and methods of use" was invented by Thomas Alston (Berlin, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A programmable pill dispensing device, system, and methods are provided. A programmable pill dispensing device may be used to automatedly dispense a pill, such as a prescription medication, at a programmed predetermined time."

The patent was filed on Oct. 1, 2023, under Application No. 18/375,546.
