ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,393, issued on Aug. 12.
"Ablatable corneal inlay for correction of refractive errors and/or presbyopia" was invented by Gholam A. Peyman (Sun City, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An ablatable corneal inlay for correction of refractive errors and/or presbyopia, and a method of correcting refractive errors and presbyopia in an eye of a patient using an ablatable corneal inlay is disclosed herein."
The patent was filed on Feb. 28, 2022, under Application No. 17/683,344.
