According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A weedless lure body having an hollow elliptical cone shape, has an oblique opening angled upward from an elliptical base along a first side wall of the weedless lure body. The body further includes a second side wall positioned around an opposing vertex to the first side wall. A shank of a hook is formed with grabbing barbs, which are embedded in the second side wall.
