ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,931, issued on April 22.
"Human activity classification and identification using structural vibrations" was invented by Benjamin T. Davis (Columbia, S.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The current disclosure is directed to classifying/identifying an action based on the vibrations caused in/on/around a structure by the action and providing a confidence level association between the vibration and the action that caused the vibration."
The patent was filed on Dec. 13, 2019, under Application No. 16/713,564.
