"Bows for bowhunting and archery" was invented by Brian K. Leeds (Leeds Point, N.J.) and Erik R. Johnson (Millville, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bow for bowhunting or archery has a bow grip that includes a handle pivotally mounted over the rear surface of the bow at the bow grip creating a pivot point over which the handle pivots at which the different directions of torque exerted on the bow grip by the hand of an archer/bowhunter are focused into one area and straight into the bow, reducing or substantially eliminating the adverse effects of hand torque.
