ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,279,662, issued on April 22.
"Bath gridle briefs" was invented by Liz Alejandra Perez Camberos (Tijuana, Mexico).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bathing suit-type garment with an integrated shaping girdle configured to apply pressure on the tissues or skin of a wearer. Likewise, the girdle integrated into the bathing suit can come into contact with water whether it be pools, sea, lagoons, among non-limiting examples, without the possibility of compromising its shape, integrity, and/or compressibility, furthermore, the girdle is discreetly and integrally integrated into a design of a brief-type swimsuit/bathing suit."
