ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,274,216, issued on April 15.
"Plant support apparatus" was invented by Jack Cooper (Monmouth, Ore.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A plant support apparatus for maintaining plant material above soil includes a basket with a perimeter wall. An upper edge of the perimeter wall defines an upper opening, and a lower edge of the perimeter wall defines a lower opening. The perimeter wall is angled inwardly from the upper edge to the lower edge. A plurality of legs is coupled to and extends downwardly from the basket."
The patent was filed on Oct. 9, 2023, under Application No. 18/377,997.
