According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A facemask and accessories which overcomes the adverse effects and limitations of current designs by moving the maxilla and mandible in forward direction, which assists in correcting maxillary and mandibular skeletal and dentoalveolar deficiency and help expand the upper airway by advancing the mandible.
