ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,123, issued on April 15.

"Apparatus for assisted buckle release" was invented by Rebecca Davison (Houston) and Barbara Heilman (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus for assisted buckle release employing a generally C-shaped, V-shaped, or U-shaped assistive device adapted to depress a buckle's release button, such as a button typical of a child car seat restraint harness, and thereby assist in unlocking the buckle."

The patent was filed on June 24, 2024, under Application No. 18/751,560.
