U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today attended a Senate Judiciary Committee Executive Business meeting, where the committee voted to advance her bipartisan legislation, the Guarding Unprotected Aging Retirees from Deception (GUARD) Act, as well as Alabamian Thomas Govan, President Trump's nominee to serve as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama. The GUARD Act awaits a full Senate vote, and Govan requires Senate confirmation.
