Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement today in response to Speaker Johnson's announcement that he will not hold a vote to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits that 24 million Americans use to afford health care. Without renewal, these tax credits will expire at the end of the year and families will pay double for their health insurance premiums in 2026:
