HAYWARD, Calif., March 20 -- The city of Hayward issued the following news release:
The Hayward Animal Shelter is opening its doors this Saturday and Sunday for a special two-day adoption event featuring its long-stay dogs.
During the special Love Grows Here adoption event, the adoption of any dog that has been in the shelter for 30 days or longer will be sponsored by SantaConHayward and comes with a six-week online GoodPup training scholarship.
Hours of the adoption event will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 23, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24. The Hayward Animal Shelter is located at 16 Barnes Court. For more information, call the shelter at (510) 293-7200.
