In case you missed it, the bipartisan Medal of Honor Act, which increases pensions for Medal of Honor recipients, was signed into law. U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH), a member of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, helped lead the Senate version of this bill, which will increase the monthly pension for living Medal of Honor recipients to $67,500 annually. The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration bestowed by the United States. There are 61 living Medal of Honor recipients.
