Massachusetts Senators Edward J. Markey and Elizabeth Warren today demanded access to the Department of Defense classified reports that the Department of Interior cited in its decision to announce a pause on leases for all large-scale offshore wind projects under construction in the United States, including Vineyard Wind 1 off the coast of Massachusetts. The Department of the Interior has stated these classified reports reveal so-called "national security risks" that prompted its suspension of the leases. If the Trump administration persists in its attempts to turn off the Vineyard Wind 1 wind power plant, it will shut off enough electricity to power 400,000 homes...
