WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 -- Sen. Jon Ossoff issued the following press release:
U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is supporting bipartisan legislation to improve access to clean drinking water in rural Georgia.
Sen. Ossoff is co-sponsoring a bipartisan bill to make it easier for rural communities to upgrade their water infrastructure and protect health by removing harmful contaminants.
The bipartisan bill, led by Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Susan Collins (R-ME), would allow states to request Federal assistance on behalf of communities with fewer than 10,000 residents and private well owners.
"Every Georgian deserves clean drinking water. This bipartisan bill will help improve access to clean drinking water for Georgians," Sen. Ossoff said.
