U.S Senator Jon Ossoff is working across the aisle to reduce the physician shortage in Georgia.

Sen. Ossoff recently cosponsored the bipartisan Fair Access in Residency (FAIR) Act to help address the growing physician shortage in Georgia by making it easier for doctors to access Medicare-funded residency programs.

According to a 2023 study (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10549423/), osteopathic graduates predominately enter primary care fields, which are severely understaffed across rural Georgia.
