U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to upgrade water infrastructure in Barnesville.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats in Congress together to deliver Federal funding for the City of Barnesville's multi-phase sewer improvement project. The Federal funding will help the City of Barnesville work to replace their small, antiquated sanitary sewer system.
According to local leaders, during rain events, the City's sewer system is consistently overloaded, causing untreated sewage to overflow and spill into the surrounding area, contaminating the soil, nearby waters, and the potential to contaminate ground water.
