U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.) - a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry - today responded to the announcement by the Trump administration that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will provide $12 billion in federal economic assistance for American farmers. The package includes $11 billion in one-time payments to crop farmers under the USDA's Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) program. The remaining $1 billion will be utilized for commodities not included in the FBA program.
